The Steamship SS Dicky was washed ashore in 1893 during a cyclone. Attempts to relaunch it proved unsuccessful. The beach, Dicky beach, took it's name from the ship. The parts of the shipwreck shown on the right of this image have since disappeared so I feel lucky to have captured this image.
