Souls departing
The final journey in the life of the majestic rimu trees ends as driftwood on the shores of Gillepsies Beach. Even now they retain a powerful presence and are exquisite in their details. One can't help but marvel at the power of the ocean to bring them here. So in that fleeting moment when everything turned red I knew their souls were departing.

Forever Strong
The tree on Lake Wanaka never disappoints. In this image I love its strong presence. Surrounded by sublime snow-capped mountains, it remains the lead actor.

Gone Without Trace
My imagination's running a little wild; I can't help thinking about the worst when I'm on a beach with no means of exit outside of low tide. Motukiekie is a rugged and powerful beach willing to lash you against its sheer jagged cliff face if you linger too long. Still it can be hard to walk away from the treasure trove if offers.

Piercing the darkness
Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast was voted the #1 beach in Australia. Famous for it's world-class surf break and gorgeous beach there's also unique markets and boutiques, hip bars and cafes and restaurants to suit every palette. It borders the Burleigh National Park so watch out for snakes blocking the path back to your car in the dark! Phew, saved by a snake whisperer.
