Wilmotts Pass is an untouched wilderness within the Fiordland National Park. A boat trip across Lake Manapouri is followed by a coach trip over the pass to reach Doubtful Sound. Shrouded in fog the landscape is moody, mystical and dramatic.

Tranquility

The shags roosting on this willow tree off Lake Wanaka's shore are remarkably still at twilight allowing me to capture this 2 minute exposure. As the sun comes up they fly off one by one.
